Sharjah Leadership Program (SLP), running for the past ten years, is among the most successful leadership programs across the United Arab Emirates. SLP has produced 380+ leaders in the public and private sectors.
Sharjah Tatweer Forum (STF) was established by an Emiri Decree in 2005 by His Highness Dr Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council Ruler of Sharjah, with the aim of contributing to the progress and the sustainable development of the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates. By enabling young leaders , implementing viable projects and interacting with society, STF will achieve its vision for the future.
STF is proud to be comprised of over 800 members and 100 public & private partnerships who contribute to overall objectives through suggestions, ideas, activities and voluntary social work. The forum also provides a platform for networking and communication between large segments of youth, allowing the sharing of new ideas and perspectives on modern affairs and development.
In 2017, STF came under the umbrella of Rubu'Qarn foundation, which serves to develop young leaders from a young age until they reach the point were they can be an effective and productive part of their community.
Sharjah Leadership Program (SLP) is among the most successful leadership programs across the United Arab Emirates with a history and experience of more than 10 years. SLP is proud to have produced forward-thinking leaders in both the private and public sectors.
The American University of Sharjah is the academic partner in this endeavour, offering AUS Certification for the participants. In recent years, AUS has cooperated with other renowned academic institutions to supplement the program's outcomes. In addition, the strong partnership that SLP has with various private and public companies across the UAE makes this experience this program offers its participants entirely unique.
The program started out as the Tatweer Leadership Program and produced 260 graduates, of whom a substantial number oversee today various human capital development initiatives in Sharjah.
The first SLP was concluded in December 2013 and was followed by a graduation ceremony on April 16, 2014 in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince of Sharjah to honor the first graduating class. The occasion also saw the launch of the Sharjah Leadership Alumni Association (SLAA).
The 2nd SLP ended in June 2015 and included a cooperation with the Paris Sorbonne University - Abu Dhabi.
The 3rd SLP ended in June 2016 and was distinct from the previous program due to a 10-day visit to Silicon Valley, USA and a session on innovation at Stanford Research Institute.
The fourth SLP ended in May 2017 and included a partnership, which included an 11-day trip to the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
The fifth SLP will begin in November 2017 and includes a visit to INSEAD in Singapore. The revamped program will focus on the individual progress of each participant, emphasizing on transferring 21st Century Skills.
